BratPack, Day 11: Sorry Charlie

posted in BratPack: PuppyMill Rescues by bratpack |

Message from Joan:

Charlie is not happy with me.

I left the leash on so I can grab him later for a bath –he really does want if off. In his usual way – I started getting Charlie ready for the vet at 8:15. He had 2 doses of the Ace stuff – it only slowed him down a little. I don’t think it was any more effective than the Pro-Quiet.

I finally got him into the car at 12:45 for the 11:45 appointment by putting the other 2 dogs in the car. He is a runner and hider.

I think I’ll leave the leash on for a week or so. My vet says he is the strongest small dog she’s seen. It was a major challenge getting the x-rays taken of his hips and knees. The vet and 2 techs were all crazy from trying to hold him still. Oh boy, it sure makes me feel good! I thought it was just me. I got to hold him in the waiting room but when someone else came in he tried to climb onto my head. This is all to keep me young, right?
